As with previous editions, this competition has no theme. But, it does have rules and specific requirements you must follow in order to be eligible to win.

All generative video must be created within Runway. You must own the rights to any live action footage you incorporate into your film.
Story first
How you choose to tell your story is up to you. But please note that the Grand Prix jury will be looking for short films that leverage Aleph to tell their stories.
Duration of film
Your film must be 1-4 minutes long.
Sound and music
All music and sound design should be used via your complimentary Epidemic Sound access. Otherwise, you must own the rights to what you're using. Go to Epidemic Sound.
Be respectful and have fun
There is no specific genre, but any offensive, graphic or explicit content will be disqualified. Learn more.
The Brief
Your film must contain one selection from each of the three categories below: Inciting Incident, Archetype and Location. You are encouraged to creatively interpret each of your three selections in order to better represent your vision. For this edition of Gen:48, the Grand Prix and jury awards will go to the films that best showcase the use of Aleph to tell their stories.
