Runway Big Ad Contest Official Rules

IMPORTANT NOTICE: THESE OFFICIAL RULES ARE SUBJECT TO A BINDING ARBITRATION PROVISION AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER SET FORTH IN SECTION 16 OF RUNWAY'S TERMS OF USE, WHICH IS FULLY INCORPORATED HEREIN. THOSE PROVISIONS AFFECT ENTRANT'S LEGAL RIGHTS, SO PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY.

THESE RULES AND APPLICABLE U.S. LAW GOVERN ALL ASPECTS OF CONTEST PARTICIPATION AND PRIZE AWARD. DO NOT ENTER IF YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE UNDER THESE RULES.

  1. SPONSOR. The sponsor of this Runway Spec Ad Challenge (the "Contest") is Runway AI, Inc. ("Runway"). Runway may be contacted at marketing@runwayml.com or 18 W 18th St, Floor 11, New York, NY 10011.

  2. ELIGIBILITY. The Contest is open to individuals who:

    1. are legal residents of any location that is not: (i) an Excluded Location (defined below) or (ii) where the Contest is prohibited or restricted by law;
    2. are at least the legal age of majority in their state of residence or older at the time of entry; and
    3. have an active Runway account with a paid subscription at app.runwayml.com.

    “Excluded Location” means: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, the Crimea, Belarus, Myanmar, Venezuela, Brazil, Italy, Portugal, China, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic regions of the Ukraine.

    Runway reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time.

  3. CONTEST PERIOD. The Contest begins at 10:00:00 AM ET on March 18, 2026 and ends at 23:59:59 PM ET on April 1, 2026 (the "Submission Period"). Entries submitted before or after the Submission Period will not be considered. Sponsor reserves, in its sole discretion, the right to extend the Submission Period for whatever reason without notification.

  4. HOW TO ENTER. To enter, participants must:

    • Create an original spec advertisement video between 30 seconds and 60 seconds in length using any tools available within Runway;
    • Ensure the video includes a visible Runway watermark;
    • Post the completed video to at least one public social media platform with the hashtag #RunwayBigAdContest; and
    • Submit the entry at https://runwayml.com/BigAdContest by providing a public link to the social media post and completing all required submission fields during the Submission Period.

    Submission of an entry constitutes the entrant's agreement to these Official Rules. Entries submitted by any other method will not be accepted.

  5. CONTENT REQUIREMENTS. Submitted videos must:

    • Be between 30 seconds and 60 seconds in length;
    • Be original work created during the Contest Period and not previously published, exhibited, or submitted to any other competition;
    • Be created using tools available within the Runway platform;
    • Include a visible Runway watermark;
    • Not depict, reference, or include the name, logo, trademark, trade dress, or other intellectual property of any real-world brand, company, or commercial product;
    • Not depict the likeness, voice, or image of any real, identifiable individual without documented written consent from that individual, which must be provided to Runway upon request; and
    • Comply with all applicable laws and the terms of service of the social media platform on which the entry is posted.

    Entries must not contain content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or otherwise objectionable as determined by Runway in its sole discretion. Runway reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these requirements.

  6. JUDGING. Entries will be evaluated by a panel of internal Runway judges (the "Jury") based on the following criteria:

    Decisions of the Jury are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.

  7. PRIZES. The following prizes will be awarded:

    Each winner is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes and other fees associated with their receipt and use of a prize. Runway will withhold and/or report taxes as required by the applicable law of Runway's jurisdiction, and each winner must provide accurate address and social security details to Runway to allow Runway to comply with tax regulations and share with appropriate tax authorities.

    Taxes and fees, if any, are the sole responsibility of each winner. Runway does not provide tax advice, nor should any statements in this agreement be construed as tax advice.

  8. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND VERIFICATION. Potential winners will be notified via the email address associated with their Runway account within 5 business days following the conclusion of judging. Potential winners must respond within 5 business days of notification to claim their prize. Failure to respond within this period may result in forfeiture and selection of an alternate winner. Runway reserves the right to conduct additional eligibility verification before disbursing any prize.

  9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. By submitting an entry, entrants acknowledge that their submission may be posted on Runway's proprietary website and/or social media pages, where it may be viewed, shared (by users of social media and various other internet-based sites), and commented on by Runway and the general public. By submitting an entry, each entrant hereby grants Runway a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to display, reproduce, distribute, and promote the submitted video for purposes of operating and promoting the Contest and Runway's services, including on Runway's website, social media channels, and marketing materials.

  10. ENTRANT WARRANTIES. Each entrant represents and warrants that: (a) the submitted video is the entrant's original work; (b) the entrant has all rights necessary to submit the entry and grant the license above; (c) the submitted video does not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights, right of publicity, right of privacy, or any other rights; and (d) the submitted video complies with these Official Rules. Entrants agree to indemnify and hold Runway harmless from any claims arising from a breach of these representations.

  11. GENERAL CONDITIONS. Runway reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest at any time for any reason, including if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest. Runway is not responsible for: (a) lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries; (b) technical failures of any kind; (c) unauthorized intervention; or (d) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance or use of any prize. By participating, entrants release Runway and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability in connection with the Contest.

  12. PRIVACY. Personal information collected in connection with the Contest will be used solely for Contest administration and prize fulfillment and will be handled in accordance with Runway's Privacy Policy.
