Gen:48 is a short film competition where teams of 1-3 filmmakers have 48 hours to ideate and execute a 1-4 minute film. This is the fourth edition and will take place from 9 AM on Saturday, April 26th until 9 AM, Monday, April 28th (EST).
Gen:48 is fully remote. Filmmakers from across the globe are encouraged to participate.

Rules & Recognition
The theme and creative requirements for all films will be revealed at the start of the competition.
Remote Production
This event will be completely remote. Meaning teams can participate from anywhere in the world. To help facilitate collaboration, teams will have access to dedicated Gen:48 channels on the Runway Discord server.
Resources
Participating teams will receive 300,000 Runway credits to help generate their films inside Runway. Additionally, all teams will have access to Epidemic Sound.
Grand Prix and People's Choice
After submissions close, all finalists will be posted to the Gen:48 website for a period of public voting. At the end of this period, the most voted film will win the People's Choice award. Additionally, our selected jury will determine the Grand Prix award.
Recognition and Prizing
Grand Prix and People's Choice winners get $5,000 USD and 1,000,000 Runway credits each. All winning filmmakers will also be invited to the Creative Partners Program.
