The New School’s Parsons School of Design is bringing Runway into their undergraduate curriculum via a new course offered during the Fall 2025 Semester dedicated to Runway’s tools. The course, Hopepunk and Runway, will give students access to Runway’s tools, allowing them to explore and experiment with Runway. Along with readings and weekly assignments, students will leverage Runway to build longer-form creative projects.
The new course will run from August to December 2025, and is open to all New School students, with priority to Parsons School of Design students, and no prior experience with Runway is needed.
The course will focus on hopepunk, a sub-genre of fiction emphasizing optimism and resilience, and includes readings from authors such as N.K. Jemisin, Becky Chambers, Ryka Aoki, and Emily St. John Mandel.
The New School’s Parsons School of Design is now accepting applications for the Fall Semester. To learn more about Runway’s educator program and how Runway’s tools are brought into the classroom, please visit our Educator Page.
