Today we're launching Runway MCP (Model Context Protocol), an MCP server that connects Runway to all of the agents and coding tools you already work in. Now, you can generate polished images and videos without switching context – just ask your agent to use Runway.
A complete generation studio, inside your agent
Once connected, you can generate product images, marketing videos, hero assets and more directly from your conversation. Pass your agent of choice a product URL, a reference image or a text prompt and Runway handles the generation. The output comes back in the same window.

Getting started
Setting up takes seconds. In Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP-compatible agent, add Runway as a custom connector using the Runway MCP server URL and sign in with your Runway account. No separate API key is required – generations are tied to your existing Runway plan.
